Product Updates
New Spec Sheet Icons Offer Quick Insight into Additional Value
Recently, we have begun updating our spec sheets to highlight products that have BAA-BABA compliant versions available, as well as products that utilize QR Codes.
Our BAA – BABA icon indicates a product family that has versions available that meet “Buy America(n)” (BAA) and/or “Build America, Buy America” (BABA) requirements. BAA commonly applies to direct purchases made by the U.S. federal government, where BABA can apply to certain federally funded projects, which are not directly procured by the federal government. The icon alone does not ensure compliance. Under the “Regulatory & Voluntary Qualifications” portion of our spec sheets, you will find a link to a form. This formis to be completed and submitted to us. Once received, the specific catalog numbers being requested will be formally reviewed for compliance.
We have also begun adding an icon to products that utilize QR Codes. These products include a unique QR Code placed inside each luminaire, as well as two additional labels that customers can decide to place outside the luminaire or perhaps on a plan. When engaging with these QR Codes from your smartphone, you can see catalog number of the unit, as well as date built and warranty end date. Strategic use of the additional labels allows access to this information without touching and getting inside the luminaire.
Guideway Series Installation Promotes LED-to-LED Conversions
You may have seen our story in June’s Light Mattershighlighting our Guideway® Series involvement in a LED-to-LED conversion, replacing LED streetlights that had been installed more than a decade ago. LED-to-LED conversions have been something we have been actively promoting for a few years. Not only do such conversions create opportunities for all of us, but there is a real need and value delivered to customers when replacing early installed LED products.
To continue to promote such conversions, we will be doing a series of four more broadly promoted social posts regarding this project. Please watch for our four-post series each Monday in July, which began on July 8th, on LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram and help amplify these posts on your social platforms.
